Hi Timberline Windsor Church!
I hope you’ve had an amazing fall with your families and were able to enjoy the beautiful weather we had this past weekend! It’s hard to believe that we’re almost done with this semester. Our Timberline Student Ministries (TSM) team has been blessed to have been a part of your student’s life the past few months and we’re looking forward to continuing to walk with them as they grow in relationship with God and one another. We genuinely hope TSM is a place where your student feels loved and cared for by our leader team and by other students, but also is also a place where they are able to realize that being in relationship with Christ is a continuous, fun, beautiful, life-giving adventure.
One of the ways I have seen students grow the most in relationship with one another and with God is through service. It’s amazing how God shapes our hearts when we put aside our distractions and love the people around us the way He calls us to. This Thanksgiving, Timberline Church has committed to feeding 700 families through our annual Fall Food Drive, this is double the amount from last year! Our TSM middle school and high school students will be collecting food at the Windsor King Soopers various times throughout the next couple of weeks in effort to reach our goal. On November 24th, TSM will be having its annual Turkey Bowl event at Timberline Fort Collins where we will be packing the 700 Thanksgiving meal boxes for families in Northern Colorado and celebrating all of the ways God has shown up during this Fall Food Drive.
These few weeks in November are some of my favorite out of the entire year. It is amazing to watch students give their time willingly to come and raise food for people in need and to watch them joyfully serve, but it’s even more amazing to witness how Christ works through the hearts of students to impact our Windsor community.
If you would like to donate to the Fall Food Drive, there are various tubs set up around the Great Hall at Timberline Windsor where you can place the food items. I cannot wait to see the Great Hall fill with as much food as we had last year!
It’s a joy to be able to serve with you, Timberline Windsor. I cannot wait to see how God works through this Fall Food Drive!
