We’re a couple of weeks into the ‘In Pursuit: Is there life beyond survival’ sermon series on the letter of Philippians. Each of the past couple of weeks we’ve had Pastors Dary and Tim at the TW Campus taking us through the first chapter, and if you’ve missed either of them, you can catch up here.
We’ve also referred to the Bible Project’s video to help us understand all that is going on in Paul’s letter to the believers in Philippi (check out the video below)
As the church stays engaged within God’s Word – studying it, re-reading it, allowing it to change us day by day – we are slowly and steadily giving ourselves to God’s way of living. We may not realize it in the day-to-day, but our values, thoughts, feelings, and actions all become more Christlike as we allow his word to be a constant in our lives.
May sound idealistic. May even seem like it’s not actually bringing any change. But God’s Word is living and active (Heb.4:12) and be assured that He is at work every time you dive into Scripture.
Why not take some time and read the passage for this upcoming weekend (1:27-2:11)? Let it begin to shape you and change you, and we’ll meet up this Saturday and/or Sunday and study it together!
Love you, TW!!
